Before Breakfast: Psalms 1:1
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
The writer of this verse emphasises how favoured by God, joyous and happy a man who does not allow himself to get negatively influenced against God’s will would be; as he journeys along with God.
There is an adage in Yoruba (A tribe in Nigeria) that says if a leaf stays glued to the soap for a long time, may also becomes soap.
The summary of this verse is for believers to be careful about the path they ‘walk’ through, where they stay or dwell so as not to be led astray from the will, plan and purpose of God for their lives.
Watch the type of friends you keep, the associations you belong or the environment/places you go.
Your life should attract people to Christ t anywhere you find yourself and not vice versa.
