Before Breakfast: Ephesians 4:14
October 18

“That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every word of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”
Ephesians 4:14

The three main qualities in children that make them easily vulnerable are:
1.Ignorance:They barely know anything nor have any idea about how they ought to carry out some duties; they need guidance and teachings.
2.Weakness:They are feeble and lack physical strength and stamina which make them to easily fall or having this tendency at the slightest push.
3.Instability: Their movements and directions are easily manoeuvred and they tend to follow accordingly because they are not stable.
Just in the same way, inanimate objects are easily carried off the ground and tossed away in the direction of the wind for lack of ‘stamina’ and ‘sturdiness’ to withstand the force of the wind.
Apostle Paul was admonishing the Ephesians in this verse to grow beyond childish status where they could easily get deceived and manipulated by the doctrines that look like that of Christ but are against.
Unfortunately, we now have many of such deceitful and devilish doctrines that easily turn away the hearts of many Christians away from the real GOSPEL Christ died for.
No wonder He warned us to be careful of those who will come in His name to deceive many. (Matt.24:5)
We need to grow beyond being a child to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that no one will be able to bamboozle us by craftiness from the devil.
Good morning!
