Open Heavens 27 March 2017: Monday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Divine Acceptance

Topic: Divine Acceptance [Monday 27, March 2017]

Memorise: And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. – Isaiah 65:24

Read: Acts 10:30-44 (KJV)

30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

IDENTIFYING THE ENEMY (8) – ISAIAH 14:12-15 Rev&Rev(Mrs) Olusola Areogun 24 March, 2017

We will conclude our series today on identifying the enemy.

7.      An enemy is anyone who secretly wants the same thing that you want or have.

Someone who envies you and secretly wants the same thing that you want or you have is an enemy. That is actually a thief. Some years ago, God gave me the definition of a friend. The Lord showed me that a friend is not someone that shares your sorrow with you because your enemy can also share your moments of sorrow.

DCLM Daily Manna March 24, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Were They Genuine?

Topic: Were They Genuine? [Friday March 24, 2017]

Text: Matthew 16:1-12

Key Verse: “A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed” (Matthew 16:4).

The Pharisees and the Sadducees put away their differences in order to mount up a formidable opposition against Christ whose teaching overthrew their errors and heresies. Their intention in asking Jesus to give them “a sign from heaven” was inimical. Miracles surrounded the birth of Jesus; signs and wonders He had already shown would have been sufficient for sincere seekers to agree that God was with Him.

Open Heavens 24 March 2017: Friday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Reopening Closed Cases

Topic: Reopening Closed Cases [Friday 24, March 2017]

Memorise: He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. – Psalm 2:4

Read: Daniel 6:10-17 (KJV)

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

IDENTIFYING THE ENEMY (7) – 2 SAMUEL 15:31-35, 17:1-7 -Rev&Rev(Mrs) Olusola Areogun

Today, we will continue the subject we have been studying for some days, identifying the enemy.

6.  An enemy is anyone who uses your weaknesses against you

Ahitophel did this to David in 2 Samuel chapter 17. He knew David’s weakness and used it to counsel Absalom against him. Once you allow the wrong person into your circle of intimacy, you become more vulnerable than you prepared for. Whenever this happens to you on any scale, God is showing you the kind of people that cannot go into the future with you.

IDENTIFYING THE ENEMY (6) – PSALM 41:1-9, PROVERBS 18:22-24 – Rev&Rev(Mrs) Olusola Areogun

We will continue our series today on identifying the enemy.

5.      An enemy is anyone who betrays your secrets and confidence.

Judas was this kind of enemy to Jesus. Jesus said, “Have I not chosen twelve of you? And one of you is a devil.” Jesus knew he would betray Him and therefore called him a devil. Take note of this important truth as you go on in life: Intimacy is not a gift; it should be the reward for loyalty. Don’t bring people into your circle of intimacy who have not demonstrated their unreserved loyalty to you.

DCLM Daily Manna March 22, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Don’t Misinterpret God’s Patience

Topic: Don’t Misinterpret God’s Patience [Wednesday March 22, 2017]

Text: Job 21:1-21

Key Verse: “Wherefore do the wicked live, become old, yea, are mighty in power?” (Job 21:7).

How vulnerable are people who have stereotyped minds about God! Job’s friends were such people who would not listen to other people before passing their comments. They threw overboard fair hearing – a situation that would neither help the victim nor the comforters.

Open Heavens 22 March 2017: Wednesday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Associated with Change?

Topic: Associated with Change? [Wednesday 22, March 2017]

Memorise: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.2 Corinthians 5:17

Read: Deuteronomy 28:11-13 (KJV)

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

Bible in One Year: Exodus 22-23, Isaiah 66:1-14

If there is any single word that symbolises Jesus Christ, it is the word “Change”. While some changes are good, some others have negative consequences. Encountering Jesus Christ brings positive change to you. Everything about Jesus spells change. The moment He was born into this world, things began to change. Even the old calendar was changed to reflect the years before Christ was born (BC) and the years after (AD). By His virgin birth, He introduced change to the rules of childbirth. This is why “meno-pause” can become “meno-play”. By the change He brought, we have seen a 56 years-old woman testifying before the people of God with her newborn baby. No wonder Jesus said God can raise children out of stones (Matthew 3:9). Are you trusting God for the fruit of the womb but menopause is telling you that your time is past? Tell it that because your Saviour and Master, Jesus, stands for change, it cannot stand in your way. Shortly, you shall celebrate with your own baby!

Spirit Meat Daily Devotional by Rev&Rev(Mrs) Olusola Areogun March 17, 2017

It is a grievous error to call an enemy a friend and some people never recover from it. Don’t ever get to a place that you don’t recognize who your enemy or friend is. To be ignorant of your enemies means the devil has hatched a great scheme against you. Only foolish people leave an enemy unheeded. God doesn’t want His people to do the same. In the Bible, we see that Nehemiah identified his enemies and finished his assignment of rebuilding the walls in 52 days, despite enemy threats.

The enemy’s ultimate goal is to stop everything good in your life, including the purpose of God for your existence. He also wants to initiate evil against you, but you must make up your mind that the devil will not stop any good thing that God has started in your life. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

God is never involved in failed projects, he is a finisher, and He wants you to become a finisher also. To operate among the class of finishers, you need to develop the eye that recognizes the enemy and not call the enemy by another name. Let God define men for you because He knows men more than you could ever do. If God says someone should not go with you on a journey of life, business, friendship or courtship, you better respect it or bear the consequences alone.
